About the Program:

1 hour MCLE, General Participatory credit.

Mediation is widely known for its use to resolve high profile labor/management and international disputes, but it can also be used to settle court cases ranging from small claims to multi-million dollar corporate shareholder disputes.  Attorney and mediator Michael Jenkins will provide a 1 hour presentation discussing how mediation is conducted, when it's a good option for your clients (and when it's not), when it should be initiated, and how to find the right kind of mediator for your case.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Jenkins, a mediator since 1991, has mediated and facilitated for the National Conflict Resolution Center, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the San Diego Superior Court, the San Diego City Attorney’s Office and the San Diego City Council.  He has trained mediators in introductory and advanced mediation techniques, and is currently an adjunct professor at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
